hey heb een vraagje

draai windows vista en wil dualboot installeren backtrack 4
ik heb 2 partitie's C: 111 en D 108 gb

ik kan geen partitie slepen bij de install zie pic..

heb niet zoveel kennis van FDISK zou iemand me kunne helpen?

vink manual aan -> dan kun je je partities in gaan delen.

i got a probleem installing it..

if i want to dualboot it i cant choose how much space ect..
if i do manual it said:

/dev/sda1/ nfs size: 10478 mb used 9715 mb
/dev/sda2/ nfs size: 119927 mb used unkown
/dev/sda3/ nfs size:116162 mb used 74608 mb
/def/sda4/nfs size:3481 mb used 1384 mb

and if it give me a fault:

no root file system is defined.
please correct this from the partioning menu.

i have C: 110927 mb
and D: 116162 mb

i already used uninbootin and the orginal live cd but i can't come trough and i dont have a option use the largest continous free space.

But when i install backtrack it don't give me the option to install it on a
new partintion. is say it need al the partions see the picture below.

Zo... ingewikkeld verhaal kan iemand me helpen het is trouwens een acer laptop..

Bij linux moet je default een root systeem, swap systeem en boot systeem partitie maken:
/ <= dit is de root partitie (OS partitie)
/boot <= Hier geef je ruimte op waar je je systeem mee boot, laten we zeggen dat je hier 1024 mb aan geeft (ruim voldoende)
En je kunt swap selecteren <= geef hier ongeveer 2 x de hoeveelheid ram in je PC , dat zou voldoende moeten zijn.

Dus je maakt 3 partities
1 is OS
1 Boot
1 Swap space

Kom je er niet uit, kan je het vragen

/root is de home map van de gebruiker root. Slecht idee om hier je besturingssysteem in te gaan gooien.

/root moet je niet gebruiken voor je linux install :P
daarnaast zie ik het goed dat je alles op nfs heb staan dat gaat neit goed vrees ik of bedoel je ntfs ??
